JobOpportunity And Responsibilities
Stable Rock is seeking a detail‑oriented, analytical, and dedicated Senior Manager to join and contribute significantly to our Tax Services and Strategy team. This important position involves preparing and reviewing various tax returns, assisting clients with tax planning and strategies, conducting tax research, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for a wide‑ranging portfolio of commercial clients and individuals. As a Tax Senior Manager at Stable Rock, you will play a key part in supporting our tax strategies and services, leveraging your expertise to contribute to the growth of our business.
The position features a hybrid work arrangement, blending in‑office collaboration with remote flexibility, and reports directly to the Managing Director of Tax Services and Strategy.
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, estate, and individual tax returns:
Accurately compile and analyze financial information to complete a variety of tax returns, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. - Prepare multistate income allocations for businesses and individuals:
Calculate and allocate income across multiple states, taking into account the specific tax requirements and regulations of each jurisdiction. - Assist clients with tax planning and strategies:
Provide expert guidance to clients on tax‑efficient practices and strategies, helping them to optimize their financial outcomes and plan for future tax obligations. - Manage multiple client engagements and projects concurrently with assigned teams:
Oversee various client projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes by coordinating resources and maintaining effective communication with clients and teams. - Cross‑Departmental
Collaboration:
Collaborate with other Stable Rock departments including CFO and Advisory Services to provide integrated client services.
- Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Experience:
5‑7+ years of tax preparation and review experience in private companies, high net‑worth individuals or trusts within a CPA firm. - Certifications:
CPA preferred. - Tax Related
Skills:
Well‑versed in tax for individuals and all entity types (e.g., corporate, partnership, estate, non‑profit, foreign). - Skills:
Multitasking, independent and team‑oriented work, exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, excellent communication, initiative, client service excellence, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, experience with tax preparation software (especially Thomson Reuters CS products), adept at managing process flow and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Hybrid (New York, NY or Elmsford, NY).
CompensationHighly competitive all‑in comp ($135,000 to $185,000).
