Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000/annually + bonus
Location: Long Island, NY (Hybrid - 4x week on-site)
Position OverviewOur client, a fast-growing manufacturing company on Long Island, is seeking a Tax Manager with deep expertise in corporate and international tax to lead their tax function. This role is highly strategic and hands?on, supporting a complex operational environment. The ideal candidate comes from industries such as manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail, or pharmaceutical
-not real estate or financial services-and must bring a strong technical background and an active CPA
.
- Manage all aspects of corporate tax compliance, planning, and reporting.
- Review and oversee federal, state, and international tax returns.
- Lead U.S. international tax matters, foreign tax credits, and transfer pricing.
- Monitor global tax law developments and ensure compliance across jurisdictions.
- Develop proactive tax strategies that support the company's operational and global growth initiatives.
- Evaluate and optimize tax impacts of supply?chain changes, cross?border structures, new product launches, and business expansions.
- Identify opportunities to enhance tax efficiency while mitigating risk.
- Provide strategic tax insights to senior leadership and support long?term planning.
- Manage quarterly and annual tax provision (ASC 740) and financial statement tax reporting.
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure the accuracy of all tax data.
- Lead audit processes and manage communications with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and external advisors to support business decisions.
- Mentor and oversee tax staff and assist in building a high?performance tax function.
- Serve as the organization's internal expert on corporate and international tax issues.
- Active CPA - mandatory.
- 7-10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, with significant international tax responsibilities.
- Strong background in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, retail, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Not seeking candidates whose experience is rooted in real estate or financial services tax.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in operational, multi?entity environments strongly preferred.
