Job Description

J.P, Morgan Institutional Investment Solutions

Institutional Investment Solutions ("IIS") is a highly specialized global team of seasoned investment professionals within J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Solutions, managing over $50 billion in customized multi-asset solutions for Family Offices, Endowments, and Defined Contribution Plans. The investment solutions we provide range from bespoke multi-asset discretionary portfolios to tailored single asset class mandates.

IIS designs, implements, and manages these solutions by leveraging the full breadth of J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management’s investment capabilities—drawing on both in-house expertise and leading external managers.

We understand institutional investors have distinct goals, risk profiles, and liquidity needs. Our platform is designed to address these priorities and adapt to a changing investment landscape, offering flexible engagement as either a dedicated Outsourced CIO or a strategic partner to in-house investment teams. Our senior investment team averages over 20 years of experience, with backgrounds in Family Office CIO teams and institutional portfolio management at leading Asset Managers.

Our expertise spans long-term investing, including strategic asset allocation, portfolio construction, and comprehensive cross-asset class analysis. In addition, IIS has deep experience advising institutional investors on building robust investment governance frameworks, establishing investment policy, and institutionalizing wealth for future generations.

Job Responsibilities:

As a senior member of the Institutional Investment Solutions (IIS) team, the new hire will partner closely with U.S. Private Bank Advisors to deliver IIS’s specialized capabilities to our largest and most sophisticated Family Office clients. They will serve as the primary portfolio manager for multi-asset solutions delivered to this client base.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Advice and Custom Investment Solutions: The candidate will be responsible for understanding each Family Office client’s investment plan, goals, and objectives, and for developing and implementing a customized tax-aware investment strategy that aligns with their long-term vision. This includes identifying opportunities to provide advice and introduce J.P. Morgan’s full suite of investment solutions.
  • Holistic Asset Allocation and Portfolio Construction: Advise clients on establishing comprehensive asset allocation policies and constructing robust, diversified portfolios. Provide guidance on best practices for investment policy and governance, ensuring clients have the frameworks needed for effective long-term wealth management.
  • Execution, Oversight and Client Communication: Execute investment solutions in client accounts in accordance with their strategic plans. This includes managing a range of investment vehicles such as Investment Management accounts, Separately Managed Accounts, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Private Credit, and Real Estate. Conduct regular investment reviews to validate clients’ objectives and prepare tailored recommendations.
  • Deliver Investment Insights: Act as a thought leader by sharing J.P. Morgan’s latest investment insights with clients and advisors. This includes organizing and participating in round tables, speaking at client events, and contributing to educational forums to ensure clients are informed and engaged with current market perspectives and opportunities.
