Infrastructure and Investment Practice – Senior Associate Retained Executive Search Firm | New York City

Our client is a highly regarded, international retained executive search and advisory firm with a specialist focus on Infrastructure, Energy Transition, and Investment led sectors. With offices across Europe, Asia Pacific, and a growing footprint in North America, the firm is known for its deep sector expertise and long-term partnerships with private equity funds, infrastructure investors, asset managers, and operating companies across critical assets and real economy investment themes.

The firm operates with a strongly collaborative, international model and is recognized for delivering senior executive and board level talent across complex, capital intensive industries.

The Senior Associate will support a North America based Client Partner in building and expanding the firm’s Infrastructure and Investment focused practice. This role sits at the intersection of Infrastructure, Energy Transition, and Investment, with exposure to infrastructure funds, institutional investors, portfolio companies, and operating platforms.

The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior search leaders, combining meaningful client exposure with hands on execution. The Senior Associate will play a critical role in mapping markets, assessing talent, and supporting retained mandates across senior leadership and board level searches.

• Support the execution and growth of Infrastructure and Investment focused retained search mandates across North America
• Analyze industry trends, capital flows, and investment dynamics across infrastructure and real assets to inform search strategy
• Develop and manage targeted candidate call lists, both independently and in coordination with the research function
• Engage senior level candidates who may be unfamiliar with the firm’s brand and articulate the value proposition effectively
• Build momentum, urgency, and accountability across active searches by leading through execution
• Coordinate and manage the research desk, ensuring a collaborative, high energy environment and consistent quality of output
• Work closely with Client Partners on client preparation, market intelligence, and candidate assessment

• Approximately 5 plus years of experience in executive search, ideally within Infrastructure, Energy, Utilities, Real Assets, or adjacent investment driven sectors
• Prior experience in a retained search environment, preferably within an international or globally integrated firm
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure and Investment markets, including private equity, infrastructure funds, asset managers, and portfolio companies
• Demonstrated ability to operate in a commercially driven environment with exposure to business development and client interaction
• Experience leading search execution end to end, with the ability to manage priorities across multiple mandates
• Track record of contributing to team development, process discipline, and operational excellence
