Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. This role manages the accounting team, maintains internal controls, and ensures compliance with GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Establish, maintain, and enhance internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
• Manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting; serve as primary liaison with auditors and advisors.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff; manage workload, performance, and professional growth.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Drive process improvements, system implementations, and automation initiatives within the accounting function.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s degree preferred)
• CPA required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including management responsibility
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills
