Product Controller

The Global Product Control function is responsible for the financial control, valuation, and reporting of the bank’s products across global markets. The role ensures accuracy, transparency, and integrity of product-related financial information while supporting business decision-making, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

• Review and validate product pricing models and valuation methodologies.
• Partner with Front Office, Market Risk, and Valuation Control to ensure fair value reporting.
• Maintain independent control over product valuations and reserves.

• Implement and maintain robust financial controls and reconciliation processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and control testing.

• Act as a key point of contact between Finance, Front Office, Risk, Operations, and Technology.
• Provide timely and accurate financial insights to senior management and business heads.
• Coordinate with regional product control teams to ensure global consistency.

• Deliver insightful analysis on product profitability, trends, and drivers.
• Support new product approvals and changes from a finance and control perspective.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and process enhancements.

• Enhance reporting processes, automation, and data quality.
• Participate in system implementations and control framework improvements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, banking products (e.g., derivatives, securities, lending), and valuation principles.
• Solid knowledge of accounting standards and financial controls.
• Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High level of integrity, ownership, and accountability.
• Proficiency in financial systems and data tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, reporting platforms).

• 15-25 years of experience in Product Control.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience working with global or regional banking teams preferred.
