Job Summary:
The Senior Analyst / Associate will play a critical role in supporting the firm’s originations, underwriting, capital markets, and transaction management functions. This individual will be responsible for assisting in loan analysis, structuring, due diligence, and deal execution while coordinating with the team and external partners. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in real estate finance and financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities:1. Pipeline & Loan Origination Support
- Assist in preliminary loan analysis, reviewing borrower profiles, market conditions, and deal structures.
- Produce Loan Sizers and Asset Summary Reports.
- Conduct market research to support loan origination efforts.
- Support relationship management with borrowers, intermediaries, and correspondents.
- Assist in preparing loan applications and investment presentations.
- Perform detailed market and location analysis to assess risk and valuation.
- Conduct asset valuation, operating history reviews, and cash flow projections.
- Analyze sponsor financials and management background.
- Review property condition reports, environmental assessments, and third-party due diligence.
- Assist in preparing credit memos for approval.
- Support loan syndication, B‑piece buyer discussions, and securitization efforts.
- Track market conditions and provide feedback on loan pricing and risk trends.
- Assist in hedge structuring and warehouse facility management.
- Coordinate with rating agencies and investors.
- Work with the legal to ensure smooth deal execution.
- Manage compliance with title, zoning, insurance, and intercreditor agreements.
- Support coordination of loan closing logistics, ensuring accuracy in loan documents.
- Assist in post‑closing surveillance and asset management coordination.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
- 2–5 years of experience in real estate lending, investment banking, credit underwriting, or structured finance.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and Argus.
- Knowledge of commercial real estate asset classes, valuation, and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
