Investment Banking Analyst | Mergers & Acquisitions

Jefferies’ M&A team in New York is currently seeking Analysts to support mergers & acquisitions and strategic advisory assignments across multiple industries. The role offers significant responsibility in both pitching and live deal execution.

• Assist in the execution of M&A and advisory transactions.
• Prepare and deliver client presentations for pitches and live deals.
• Build and utilize detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, and multiples-based analyses
• Draft materials including offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management and lender presentations, and prospectuses.
• Conduct industry research, analyze business plans, and review detailed financial information.
• Participate in due diligence processes and drafting sessions.
• Prepare internal deal memos and coordinate across senior and junior deal team members.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.

• At least one year of M&A related experience (direct investment banking experience, consulting or valuations)
• Strong technical skills, including financial modeling and valuation.
• Strong written and verbal communication ability.
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously; high attention to detail and strong work ethic.
• Self‑starter who can operate independently as well as within deal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance.
