We are working with a global alternatives investment firm managing ~$4.7B across public and private markets, focused on backing best-in-class emerging and established alternative asset managers
. The firm partners closely with managers across private equity, private credit, and hedge funds, providing both capital and hands‑on strategic support.
This is a true manager research / allocator-style seat
. The Analyst will sit on the investment team and be deeply involved in fund due diligence, manager underwriting, portfolio monitoring, and ongoing relationship management
. You’ll work directly with senior leadership and have exposure across the full lifecycle of fund investments.
- Lead in-depth due diligence on alternative investment managers (PE, private credit, hedge funds)
- Evaluate strategy, portfolio construction, risk management, track record, team, and firm infrastructure
- Conduct reference checks and qualitative manager assessments
- Source and evaluate new manager opportunities through a strong industry network
- Support FoF, co‑investment, and selective direct investment analysis
- Ongoing monitoring of portfolio managers, including performance analysis, risk review, and regular manager meetings
- Prepare high‑quality investment memos, research reports, and client‑facing materials
- Participate in investor interactions, conferences, and industry events
- 1+ years of direct manager research / fund research experience
- Background as an allocator or fund research professional (endowment, foundation, pension, SWF, OCIO, consultant, FoF, or alternatives platform)
- Hands‑on experience underwriting alternative investment managers (not company‑level PE only)
- Strong qualitative judgment paired with solid analytical and writing skills
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, self‑starter mindset
- Comfortable operating in a lean, high‑responsibility environment
- Strong communicator who can engage directly with managers and institutional investors
- Deep curiosity for alternative strategies and emerging managers
This is a high‑visibility role with direct exposure to working with the CIO, meaningful responsibility early, and long‑term growth for someone who wants to build a career in allocator‑style investing and manager selection.
