Assistant Fund Controller

Established Global Investment Management Firm
Role:
Assistant Fund Controller
Salary: $110K - $135K/annually + Benefits and Bonus ($30K - $35K)

Location:

Manhattan - Hybrid

• Fund & Portfolio Oversight:
  Support acquisitions, dispositions, and financing arrangements in close collaboration with the Business Team.
• Provide management oversight of loan facilities, including managing draw requests, payment processing, and compliance monitoring.
• Exercise critical judgment to work independently while knowing when to escalate complex issues to leadership.
• Reporting & Compliance:
  Manage monthly/quarterly financial reporting, including the preparation/review of transactional activity.
• Review financial statements, partner capital reports, and ensure compliance with Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs).
• Calculate key performance metrics: IRRs, investment multiples, and time-weighted returns.
• Calculate management fees and carried interest.
• Operations & Efficiency:
  Support treasury operations, including cash liquidity management, approving fundings, and calculating capital calls/distributions.
• Coordinate with the Operations Team on loan servicing report reconciliation.
• Drive process improvements and efficiencies across finance operations.
• Technical Expertise:
  Prepare ad hoc and recurring investor/internal requests.
• Review and understand complex fund structures (e.g., master/feeder, blockers).

• Experience:
  
  4-7 years in a relevant finance/accounting role.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree in accounting (required).
• Background:
  Combination of "Big 4" and private industry experience highly preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Demonstrated advancement, proven leadership capabilities, and efficient in process improvements.
• Technical Acumen:
  Foundational understanding of basic coding language and AI tools is a plus.
