Tax Analyst role with prominent Long Island client of ours on Long Island. Please note - this is not a position within public accounting, rather within an internal corporate tax department. The Tax Analyst position will be a mix of both tax planning and compliance and assist with all related planning, workpaper documentation and any potential tax authority audits. The Tax Analyst will also be tasked with performing technical tax research at both the Federal and State levels.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for both parent company and related affiliate entities
- Assist with tax planning throughout the year
- Identify opportunities to minimize the effective tax rate
- Oversee non-income tax compliance
- Prepare for and assist with tax audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Tax
- 2+ years of experience of professional tax experience
- MUST have 2+ years of experience with corporate tax compliance
- Previous experience in public accounting preferred
- CPA license preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
