-based private credit platform providing senior, unitranche, and structured debt solutions to sponsor-backed and asset-backed businesses across the middle market.
The firm manages a range of private credit strategies and partners with private equity sponsors, corporates, and asset owners to deliver flexible capital solutions across multiple sectors. With continued AUM growth and strong deployment activity, the platform is expanding its investment team to support increased deal flow and portfolio activity.
The Opportunity:The Vice President will play a key role within the firm’s investment team, partnering closely with senior investment professionals to underwrite, execute, and manage private credit investments across direct lending and structured credit strategies.
This is a hands‑on investment role with responsibility across the full deal lifecycle, from initial screening and diligence through execution and ongoing portfolio management. The successful candidate will work closely with origination, portfolio management, and senior leadership, contributing directly to investment decision‑making and portfolio outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with senior investment professionals to evaluate and underwrite new private credit investment opportunities.
- Build and review detailed financial models, credit analyses, and downside cases.
- Prepare investment memoranda and materials for internal investment committee review and approval.
- Support deal execution, including diligence coordination, documentation review, and transaction closing.
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of private credit investments, including covenant compliance, performance analysis, and ongoing credit reviews.
- Coordinate with origination, legal, and portfolio management teams to support investment processes and outcomes.
- Assist with amendments, refinancings, and follow‑on investments across the existing portfolio.
- Typically 5–8+ years of relevant experience within private credit, leveraged finance, investment banking, sponsor coverage, DCM, or restructuring.
- Strong financial modeling, credit underwriting, and analytical skillset.
- Experience working on sponsor‑backed transactions preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in a lean, fast‑paced investment environment with a high level of ownership.
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with senior investment professionals.
