POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Research Analyst to join our team, focusing on stocks within the Consumer and Industrial sectors. The successful candidates will engage in detailed research and analysis of companies within these sectors, contributing to idea generation. The ideal candidate should have 1‑4 years of Equity Research or Hedge Fund experience.

As a Research Analyst, you will report directly to a Portfolio Manager. From day one, you will assume a substantial role in the research and investment processes, handling a range of responsibilities while gaining meaningful exposure to durable and proven alpha‑generative investment processes. This role represents an excellent chance to develop and advance as an investor within our supportive and dynamic environment.

JGC is committed to internal promotion, offering Analysts substantial growth opportunities in both responsibility and compensation. A successful Research Analyst will be eligible for a discretionary bonus, in significant excess of base salary, based on performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the research efforts of the Portfolio Manager.
  • Conduct company and industry fundamental research to develop a deep understanding of key business and industry drivers within the coverage universe and other related/adjacent industries.
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with company management and other industry participants while growing a meaningful network of business contacts.
  • Clearly and effectively communicate and articulate actionable equity ideas to colleagues.
  • Create, maintain, and update company financial models.
  • Explore and stay informed of emerging trends, company‑specific initiatives, and general news.
  • Attend roadshows, meetings, conferences and other company or industry events as required.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required complemented by a strong academic record (3.75+ GPA preferred).
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience conducting investment research or financial analysis – preference for experience in a similar or related industry.
  • Demonstrated passion for the equity markets, investing, and analyzing companies.
  • Professional experience building financial models.
