Oliver Wyman is a global leader in management and actuarial consulting, with offices worldwide. The Health Practice supports health organizations in managing financial risks and improving health care delivery using advanced actuarial and modeling techniques.

Hybrid; preference for Atlanta, Chicago, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, or New York. Open to other Oliver Wyman Actuarial office locations.

As an Analyst, you will work alongside experienced consultants across a broad range of client projects, gaining interaction and visibility with leading insurance companies, provider health systems, state regulators, and private equity firms.

• Medicare Bid Support:
  Assist bid development for Medicare Advantage products including product development, modeling, and analysis
• Commercial Pricing Support:
  Assist pricing of health insurance products for ACA small group, individual, and large group markets
• Medical and Pharmacy Claims Analysis:
  Support claim-line level analytics including benchmarking to applicable industry experience
• Market Simulation Analyses:
  Support analyses of proposed federal and state legislation
• Regulatory Support:
  Examine impact of regulatory changes and assist clients with implementation
• Provider Contract Analysis:
  Evaluate provider contracts and impact of changes on rates
• Value-based Care:
  Analyze value-based care and other risk-taking arrangements from both payer and provider perspectives
• Evaluation of care management programs

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
• 1–3 years of actuarial experience
• Progress toward Associate of the Society of Actuaries credentials
• Track record of rapid learning, high performance, and professional growth
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Ability to work independently on client projects and intellectual capital development
• Understanding of collaboration and teamwork
• Deep critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Highly motivated and willing to work in a dynamic environment
• Strong skills with MS Excel, SAS, SQL, R, VBA, or other programming languages

• Base salary range $70,000–$100,000 USD, determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements
• Performance-based incentives may apply
