About the RoleHandling tax in such a large, sophisticated organization takes more than just a technical understanding of current tax practices. As a Sales and Use Tax Senior Manager, you will lead engagements on a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes for complex issues. YourKey Responsibilities
You will spend your time on a diverse array of projects, responsibilities, and tasks. Clients rely on you for up-to-the-minute tax advice. You’ll create a highly collaborative culture where listening, sharing information, and partnership are essential.
Skills and Attributes for Success- Analyzing complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights
- Identifying opportunities and risks and communicating them to clients
- Researching market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor
- Developing clear plans and approaches to improve client tax activities
- Building long‑lasting client relationships tailored to specific needs
- Leading a motivated team, ensuring they have the skills and opportunities to reach full potential
- Connecting clients with other EY professionals beyond sales and use tax
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline
- Professional knowledge in sales and use tax processes, concepts, and tools
- 8+ years managing budgets, people, and projects
- Proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization
- Technical writing and research experience in tax context
- Ability to prioritize multiple complex projects
- Strong influencing skills; confidence to question processes
- Exposure to business development
- Willingness to travel and work in a balanced hybrid environment
- Achieved CPA qualification, certification as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, CMI designation, or state bar membership

Benefits- Comprehensive compensation and benefits package; base salary range: $135,000 to $308,500 (US) and higher ranges for certain metro areas. Includes medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off.
- Hybrid model: work in person 40‑60% of the year for external client‑serving roles.
- Flexible vacation policy; time off for EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves.
