Fund Accountant

A leading financial services firm, is seeking an experienced Private Equity Fund Accountant for a great opportunity in the New York, NY area. The ideal candidate will preferably be a CPA and possess previous private equity experience. This individual will be responsible for reviewing Capital Calls and Distributions, reviewing financial statements, waterfall calculations, NAV calculations, and assisting with month-end close process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide coordination and review quarterly/annual work papers, financial statements and capital account statements for three Senior Debt Funds and one Mezzanine Fund, prepared by a third-party fund administrator.
• Maintain books and records, and prepare financial statements and capital account statements for two in house Mezzanine Funds.
• Prepare capital calls and distributions.
• Maintain schedules to track debt and equity investments.
• Maintain/Track Fund and Portfolio expenses and payables.
• Assist in deal fundings and wire preparation.
• Assist in compliance reporting for Senior Debt and Mezzanine Credit Facilities.
• Assist with IRR Performance Reporting.
• Assist in annual audit and tax preparation.
• Assist in responding to ad hoc information requests.

Job Requirements:

• CPA is a big plus
• Previous Private Equity experience is a must
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Previous experience from a big 4 is a huge plus
