Quantitative Execution Trader

Our client is a leading global alternative investment manager ($60bn+ AUM) and they are looking for a Quantitative Execution Trader to join their Global Trading team in New York.

• Manage high-volume automated order flow across multiple asset classes, with a primary focus on equities
• Maximise execution quality
  
  Graduated by the effective management of market impact, slippage, and transaction costs
• Source and access external liquidity using proprietary execution strategies and algorithms
• Analyse market microstructure and execution performance to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate closely with quantitative research, technology, and development teams to enhance execution models and trading infrastructure
• Provide timely execution insight, analysis, and market intelligence to quantitative and fundamental investment teams
• Support global trading operations and maintain close working relationships with international trading.
  
  Required

• 2–6 years’ experience within a statistical arbitrage, high‑frequency, or algorithmic trading environment
• Strong equities (single‑stock) execution experience; multi‑asset exposure is favourable
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with a deep interest in markets and trading
• Solid understanding of market microstructure and execution cost dynamics
• Basic programming or scripting experience in Python
• Strong academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from a top‑tier college; quantitative discipline preferred
• Both buy‑side and sell‑side candidates will be considered
