A fast-growing, boutique private credit firm is expanding its finance team as it enters a major inflection point. The firm focuses on early‑stage and structured credit investments across fintech and financial services and has recently closed several new deals with additional transactions in the pipeline.
With a lean team of ~30 professionals and a strong track record of internal promotions, this is an opportunity to step into a high‑impact role where growth, visibility, and responsibility scale quickly. This position reports directly to the Director of Finance and partners closely with senior leadership and deal teams.
This is not a traditional fund accounting role. You’ll support complex deal structures, raise your hand to take on new initiatives, and help build processes as the platform continues to scale.
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
What You’ll Do- Oversee core fund accounting across private credit vehicles, including capital activity, allocations, and partner reporting
- Interface with fund administrators, auditors, tax advisors, custodians, and other service providers
- Prepare and review capital calls, distributions, management fees, and performance fees
- Track cash activity, wire payments, and cash projections
- Support quarterly unaudited and annual audited financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Assist with quarterly performance and investor reporting
- Interpret partnership agreements, reporting requirements, and partner economics
- Support new deal structuring from a finance and operational perspective
- Develop, document, and improve scalable processes and controls
- Participate in technology implementations and ad‑hoc projects across finance, operations, compliance, deal teams, and marketing
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience
- CPA strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of limited partnership structures and private markets accounting
- Solid U.S. GAAP investment accounting and financial reporting experience
- Proven experience preparing financial statements and managing audits
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience spanning public accounting and private industry (private credit preferred)
- Exposure to accounting systems, process improvement, and technology implementations
- Working knowledge of partnership tax concepts and K‑1s is a plus
