As a Data Scientist within the Fundamental Data Science portfolio management team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will design, build, and apply AI/ML techniques to make meaningful contributions to the team’s proprietary investment process. In partnership with the team, your problem-solving capabilities will help to identify investment opportunities for the US Equity portfolios managed by the team.
Job Responsibilities- Design and utilize advanced AI/ML techniques to analyze a diverse variety of financial information
- Build and apply predictive forecasts to research potential investment opportunities
- Design efficient and highly scalable processing and modeling pipelines for financial data
- Remain up to date with the latest developments in AI through research and experimentation
- Assist in the management of the team’s investment process and portfolios
- Deploy pipelines and models in a production setting
- Develop insights and actionable recommendations from data analysis
- 3+ years of relevant data science experience working with large-scale datasets and large models in both a research and production capacity
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Demonstrated expertise in predictive modeling across a variety of data formats, including time series and natural language data
- Experience deploying models and pipelines in a production setting
- Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g. PyTorch, Tensorflow)
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for problem solving within financial markets
- Experience building predictive models with financial datasets
- Demonstrated success bringing large-scale projects from research to production
- Strong familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Understanding of financial markets and investment strategies is highly desirable
