Direct Alternative Investments Due Diligence and Research Specialist (NY, New York City)
Location:

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze performance of direct deals, co-investments, and alternative fund investments across private equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets, and other private markets strategies.
- Portfolio oversight – Produce high-quality reporting, analytics and insights for client consumption, internal investment committee and family office group
- Maintain performance and documentation to support ongoing monitoring
- Participate in manager meetings, company update calls, AGMs, and relevant industry conferences
- Track key company and fund-level developments, financial performance, capital calls/distributions and valuation updates
- Support the development of materials for client reviews, portfolio analyses, and internal diligence memos
- Collaborate with operations and client service teams on data accuracy, cash flow tracking and investment administration
- Regular dialogue with select clients in partnership with Advisor and Research team
Skills &
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of relevant investment experience within private markets, family office, fund of funds or institutional allocator environment
- CAIA or CFA Preferred
- Strong knowledge of private markets including individual asset classes/strategies, direct deals and co-investments
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights
- Strong written skills and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working with senior investment professionals, portfolio company management teams and fund managers
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and portfolio analytics tools
Salary: $200,000 – $300,000 annually, based on experience.
