This role is a full‑time onsite employment contract of 6 months at the New York World Economic Forum office.
Early Careers Programme start dates between 15 March and 15 April 2026.
Monthly gross compensation of USD $4,550.
Objective of the Programme:Sustainable Finance Team in the Financial and Monetary Systems (FMS) Centre is looking for a dedicated early careers program (ECP) candidate to join our dynamic team. The Sustainable Finance team engages a multistakeholder community of public and private financiers alongside industry stakeholders to accelerate the mobilization of capital towards climate and nature.
The Sustainable Finance Team enables the transformation of the global financial system and architecture to encourage climate and nature action and to reinforce long‑term value creation and economic growth by engaging private financiers, MDBs and DFIs as well as policy makers.
Scope of Work:- Project support, community engagement and coordination:
Support the team in maintaining and organising engagement with members of the sustainable finance community, including participating in partner meetings and ensuring strategic follow‑up. Liaise with internal Forum teams, such as the First Movers Coalition for Food and Industry respectively, to identify synergies across work streams, coordinate activities, and support the scoping of new areas for collaboration with particular focus on finance pathways for hard‑to‑abate sectors and food value‑chain decarbonisation. - Events planning and logistics, admin/operations:
Help organise and facilitate virtual and in‑person workshops for Working Groups and institutional events, including FMC finance round tables and regional dialogues on industrial decarbonisation. Build proficiency in Salesforce, Toplink, and other Forum platforms to ensure smooth operational delivery, including maintaining invitation trackers, coding interactions, managing workflows, coordinating calendar invites, updating community lists, and liaising with Partner Engagement Managers and the Legal team for invitations and materials. - Research and Communication:
Assist the team in conducting research on industry transformation and decarbonisation for both heavy industry and food systems, including analysis of bankability challenges, green premiums, offtake structures and blended‑finance approaches for first‑of‑a‑kind (FOAK) projects. Contribute to stakeholder mapping, value propositions and high‑impact slide decks and presentations for events, workshops and partner engagements. Support the scoping, drafting and curation of impact stories or agenda blogs for the Sustainable Finance Team’s initiatives including outputs highlighting emerging financing models and real‑economy decarbonisation progress.

Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with leading experts and practitioners.
- Excellent communication skills and command of English; ability to synthesise complex technical or financial topics for diverse audiences; fluency in another language is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑performing and collaborative environment managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and quality in delivery.
