Data Analyst
Location: New York
Amazon Advertising Finance is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Ad Sales FP&A team. In this role, you will partner closely with Product, Sales, and Business stakeholders to help shape Ad Sales leadership’s strategy in a fast-evolving marketplace. You will leverage data-driven insights to influence decision-making, communicate financial performance to senior leadership, and support long-term planning. Our team is focused on driving standardization and centralization across global sales teams and an expanding suite of ad products—while maintaining the necessary flexibility where necessary.

- Employ strong communication and organizational skills to effectively prioritize and complete timely deliverables.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and strategic planning across advertising sales initiatives.
- Analyze complex data sets to provide clear and simplified insights that influence real-time decision making.
- Drive consolidation, standardization, and process improvement for global reporting mechanisms.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science).
- 1+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses.
- 1+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making.
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA skills.
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Tableau, Essbase, or Cognos).
- Experience operating successfully in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, with the ability to influence the decisions of business partners through effective verbal and written communication.
- Experience using data to influence business decisions.
- 1+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results.

The base salary range for this position is US $66,300.00 – US$ annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
