Captive Consultant / Account Executive (Property & Casualty focused)
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
We are partnered with a National P&C Broker who is seeking a Captive Consultant/Account Executive. This role partners closely with senior leadership, producers, and clients to design, analyze, and implement sophisticated captive, fronting, reinsurance, and non-traditional risk solutions across P&C and employee benefits. The position blends strategic consulting, financial analysis, client education, and new business development in an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Consulting:
Partner with senior leadership and clients to design, analyze, and implement complex captive, fronting, reinsurance, and non-traditional risk solutions. - Financial Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and risk retention studies to support the formation and growth of captive programs. - Client Management:
Educate clients/account managers/ producers on where or not a captive program is appropriate, serve as the primary relationship manager for select accounts, address objections, and guide clients toward tailored solutions. - Compliance and Oversight:
Collaborate with legal, actuarial, and tax professionals to ensure regulatory and jurisdictional compliance. Monitor captive performance, analyze claims data, and recommend adjustments. - Collaboration:
Work closely with producers, internal service teams, underwriters, and third-party administrators (TPAs) to ensure seamless client experience and program optimization.
- Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in P&C insurance, risk management, or captive consulting. Experience with single parent or cell captives is highly preferred. - Education/Designations: A bachelor’s degree in risk management, Finance, Business, or a related field is expected; an advanced degree or professional designations such as CPCU or ARM considered favorably.

Skills:
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and financial acumen are essential for assessing risk exposures and performing financial modeling. - Communication:
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary for client education and new business presentations.
