Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager
Join BNY as a Senior Vice President, Fund/Client Accounting Manager on our Alternatives Real Estate Investment Team in New York, NY. The role includes leading multiple fund accounting teams, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
Key Responsibilities- Direct multiple Fund Accounting teams responsible for accounting services on behalf of clients, determining net asset values, calculating fund performance, allocating expenses, and preparing reports.
- Manage financial and human resources for the unit to meet goals.
- Direct processes for NAV determination across multiple sectors each measurement cycle.
- Maintain client relationships and resolve escalated fund calculation issues.
- Set priorities for processes verifying completeness and accuracy of financial disclosures.
- Evaluate GAAP/IFRS rules and assess regulatory impact on BNY fund accounting practices.
- Implement guidelines and policies for drafting client financial reports on fund performance.
- Recruit, motivate, and develop staff to maximize contributions and professional growth.
- Oversee relationships with auditors and clients for accurate financial reporting.
- Lead through subordinate managers and contribute to achieving multiple team objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and experience.
- 8+ years total work experience, including 1–3 years in management.
- Preference for experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
BNY offers competitive total compensation ranging from $102,000 to $225,000 per year, plus commissions, bonuses, incentive packages, and company‑sponsored benefits. Additional paid leaves, volunteer time, and wellbeing programs are part of the benefits package.
