My client, a respected global asset management firm is looking for an Accountant to join their expanding team. Our client is based out of midtown New York City, has a hybrid schedule, and offers tremendous growth within the firm.
Key Responsibilities- Own monthly reporting, including balance sheet, income statement analytics, expense trends, and earnings attribution.
- Prepare financial statements, footnotes, and MD&A disclosures for quarterly and annual reports.
- Assist with quarter-end public earnings presentations and press releases.
- Handle covenant reporting to lending counter parties.
- Contribute to board deliverables and special projects.
- Gain hands‑on experience in REIT compliance and preparation of tax work papers.
- Liaise with Operations, Legal, Tax, Compliance, and Portfolio Management teams.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors for timely completion of audits and SOX 404 compliance.
- Support the financial model used for earnings projections and dividends.
- Analyze complex transactions and prepare technical accounting memos.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within a publicly listed financial services company.
- Bachelor's in Accounting;
Master's degree preferred. - Active CPA license.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
