This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting the company's overall financial health. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem‑solver with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a drive for continuous improvement.

• Oversee and support the cash reconciliation process
  , ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Maintain and review general ledger accounts
  , ensuring all transactions are posted accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in the monthly and annual close processes
  , including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations (prepaid, accruals, month‑end allocations, and bank accounts), and the generation of financial statements.
• Provide in‑depth analysis of financial results during month‑end close to support decision‑making and reporting.
• Manage and reconcile prepaid and accrual schedules
  , including posting appropriate entries and ensuring proper documentation.
• Reconcile sales activity reports to ensure consistency and accuracy of revenue‑related data.
• Prepare and deliver ad‑hoc financial reports and support special projects as assigned.
• Continuously seek and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations and strengthen financial reporting accuracy.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (Sage X3, Sage 100, Sage 500) preferred
• Self‑starter, motivated
• Strong analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Food industry experience a plus
• Commutability
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a wide demographic
• Ability to travel to all Citarella locations
