• Ensure accurate accounting of global fixed assets, internal use software and leases
• Prepare relevant, timely and reliable reporting of actuals to support decision making and forecasting
• Act as a key contact for audits

• Prepare monthly results, variance analysis and commentary in accordance with the agreed corporate timetable for senior management review
• Ensure clear process for creation of new fixed assets, disposals and useful life reviews
• Maintain Lease Query with latest global lease information, complying with IFRS 16

• Maintain and prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations
• Adhere to company policies and internal controls
• Support all audit requests pertaining to fixed assets or leases

• Provide ad‑hoc analysis to support business and finance initiatives
• Develop relevant dashboards to improve reporting
• Support implementation of ad hoc projects and processes (e.g., setting up new entities)

• Fully Qualified Accountant with CPA / ACCA / CIMA
• Audit experience preferred
• Experience with Lease Query and SAP beneficial
• Educated to degree level
• Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships within finance and with stakeholders at all levels
• Creative problem‑solving ability
• Excellent computer skills including Excel
• Some knowledge of Sotheby’s or the art industry beneficial

The proposed base salary for this position ranges from $80,000–$100,000. In addition to base salary, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus and a competitive benefits package. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
