Internship Overview
Join our team of risk analysts to help manage risk for our global businesses and collaborate with professionals across the firm. As a 2027 Summer Analyst, you will receive training, mentorship, and engaging projects to develop your expertise.
Internship DetailsThe program begins with an orientation and training session in New York. Expert instructors and JPMorgan Chase professionals will guide you through our history, products, and the intellectual property that serves our clients. You will learn skills in valuation analysis, accounting, corporate finance, economics, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and risk analysis.
Internship Placement Options- Credit Risk Team: Assess client credit strength and analyze the firm’s retained credit risk related to lending and trading activities. Locations:

Los Angeles, CA - Market Risk Team: Track market events, perform portfolio analysis, and provide risk advisory for multiple asset classes, including FX, rates, equities, credit, securitized products, and commodities retained by the firm.
Location:
New York, NY - Chief Investment Office, Treasury and Corporate (CTC) Risk Team: Manage the risk of the retained portfolio generated from CTC businesses, including market risk, credit risk, reputational risk, country risk, principal risk, and model risk. Also responsible for independent risk management of firmwide liquidity risk, interest rate risk, and capital risk.

- Perform analysis/due diligence on counter parties/products
- Monitor risk sensitivities across the portfolio
- Build financial models
- Contribute to analytical exercises in response to global events
- Prepare reports with recommendations for senior management
- Evaluate market movements that could impact the firm
- Learn about risk at a premier global investment bank
- Develop skills to thoroughly assess and evaluate risks
- Understand the role of integrity and transparency in dealing with regulators, clients, and business stakeholders
- Collaborate across the organization to solve problems proactively, including inquiries from clients, regulators, and stakeholders
- Attend college/university in the U.S.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 through June 2028 from a bachelor’s or master’s program
- If you are pursuing a master’s degree, it must be completed within 2 years of your bachelor’s degree
- To be eligible for this program, you must be authorized to work in the U.S. We do not offer any type of employment‑based immigration sponsorship for this program.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, project management, and communication skills
- Strong initiative, energy, and confidence in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
- Proficiency in Excel and Word; fluency in English
- Coursework in finance, economics, or accounting a plus
This position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act. As such, an employment offer for this position is contingent on JPMorgan Chase’s review of criminal conviction history, including pretrial diversions or program entries.
