Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $/yr
A dynamic and rapidly growing health and wellness company is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team in Manhattan, NY. Job Function
- Provide the proper guidance and management to the Accounting team.
- Directly oversee AP, AR, Financial Reporting, and other key functions.
- Work closely with both the CFO and VP of Finance to establish and oversee key internal controls in accordance within SOX.
- Closely monitor financial statements and disclosures to ensure they are in accordance with US GAAP and in compliance with SEC accounting regulations.
- Suggest new software systems and processes as necessary, and improve incumbent systems and processes as needed.
- Maintain a strong relationship with the outside CPA firm.
Job Requirements
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and controllership roles.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance is required.
- Experience working for a publicly owned company is essential.
