Cross-disciplinary Controls Sr. Lead Analyst - SVP
Individuals in Cross Disciplinary Controls are responsible for multiple activities within the Controls capabilities such as assessment & design, MCA, QA, Monitoring & Testing, Issue Management and/or Governance Reporting & Analysis for effective end-to-end oversight, design, implementation, and execution of controls. This role may cover a broad range of in‑business/function risk and control responsibilities rather than focusing on one specific area.
Responsibilities- Assess the effectiveness of existing controls, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.
- Continually drive and manage controls enhancements focused on increasing efficiency and reducing risk.
- Drive execution of Enterprise Risk Management Framework and adherence to Risk Management/Compliance policies.
- Support oversight of the MCA program, including annual, semi‑annual, quarterly, and monthly attestation, quality oversight, and related reporting.
- Drive execution of the MCA in accordance with the ORM Policy & Framework, as well as applicable policies, standards, and procedures.
- Assess activities and processes per required policies, standards, and procedures to strengthen risk management quality.
- Coordinate and manage issues with key stakeholders.
- Conduct issue quality reviews ensuring compliance with Issue Management Policy, Standards and Procedures.
- Manage development and implementation of standardized risk and controls reporting, ensuring reliable, consistent information across the organization to inform senior management, Board, and regulators.
- Manage operations of Citi’s governance committees, including coordinating meetings, managing agendas, and ensuring follow‑up on action items.
- Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets; drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, policies, and ethical standards while transparently escalating, managing, and reporting control issues; supervise team activity and enforce accountability.
- 10+ years of experience in operational risk management, compliance, audit, or other control‑related functions in the financial services industry.
- Ability to identify, measure, and manage key risks and controls.
- Track record leading control‑related projects and programs.
- Big‑picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
- Develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Citi’s businesses, functions, and risk profiles.
- Generate new ideas and improve current processes to proactively mitigate risks.
- Provide challenges and recommendations for risk and control remediation.
- Expert knowledge in development and execution of controls.
- Experience in implementing sustainable solutions and improving processes.
- Expert understanding of compliance laws, rules, regulations, and best practices.
- Deep understanding of Citi’s policies, standards, and procedures.
- Strong leadership, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex risk and control activities and processes.
- Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences.
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a results orientation.
- Excellent communication skills; ability to engage and inspire across stakeholder groups.
- Exceptional command of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Bachelor’s/University degree;
Master’s degree preferred.
