Position Overview

IQ is seeking a high-performing Financial Analyst to deliver rigorous financial analysis while actively contributing to team development, research excellence, and client‑facing insight. This role is not purely executional—Financial Analysts are expected to set the standard for analytical quality, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate across research, product, and client teams to continuously improve howTokata

The ideal candidate combines deep financial analysis expertise with a team‑first mindset, strong communication skills, and accountability for both individual output and collective success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high‑quality financial analysis, private company assessments, and risk insights across industries and geographies
  • Contribute to and refine scorecard logic, ratio benchmarks, and financial indicators
  • Perform stress testing, trend analysis, and comparative benchmarking for private companies
  • Ensure analytical outputs are accurate, well‑documented, and aligned with Tokata

    IQ research standards
  • Actively mentor and support Junior Analysts through guidance, review, and knowledge sharing
  • Participate in training, onboarding, and documentation of research methodologies
  • Provide constructive feedback and quality review of junior analyst work
  • Contribute to a collaborative, respectful, and high‑performing analyst culture

Note: This role requires consistent participation in team development. Independent output without contribution to team growth is not sufficient for success in this position.

Research Quality & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve research workflows, scoring logic, and analytical consistency
  • Partner with the Head of Research & Analytics to refine methodologies and best practices
  • Contribute ideas for new metrics, insights, or enhancements to existing research products
  • Maintain awareness of macroeconomic trends, sector risks, and evolving financial signals
Client‑Facing & Cross‑Functional Support
  • Support client engagements, custom research requests, and analyst‑driven insight reports
  • Assist in explaining financial logic, scoring outcomes, and analytical findings to internal teams or clients as needed
  • Collaborate with Product, Client Success, and IT teams to ensure research aligns with platform logic and client workflows
  • Contribute to demos, onboarding, or written insights when advanced financial explanation is required
Required Qualifications
  • 7–12+ years of experience in financial analysis, research, credit risk, or related fields
  • Strong expertise in financial statements, ratios, benchmarks, and risk indicators
  • Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with structured financial datasets
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and support team‑based outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with private company financials and non‑public data
  • Exposure to stress testing, forecasting, or scenario analysis
  • Familiarity with financial data platforms or integrated data feeds
  • Experience contributing to research documentation or training materials
