About the role

This role is to undertake fundamental research, ESG analysis and stock forecasting of US REITs to make stock recommendations in line with the Property Securities team’s investment philosophy and process.

About you

• Must have a keen interest in investment analysis and property generally.
• Professional and proactive in all aspects of business.
• Ability to work without supervision.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• All candidates must have the right to work in the USA.

Your experience

• 5 years relevant REIT analysis experience, most likely gained as an analyst at a major stockbroker or fund manager
• Ability to understand financial and business statements is paramount.
• Strong people and people management skills and experience will be highly regarded.
• Experience in dealing with senior corporate management.
• Ability to travel for company presentations and industry conferences.
• Academic qualifications in Accounting/Business/Commerce/Economics/Finance/Law.
• Also desirable is CFA or other relevant qualification.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft programs (e.g. Excel / Word) and other industry information programs.
• Provide 5 year Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cashflow forecasts on screened universe focusing on sectors to be determined.
• Ensure adherence to internal global accounting standards and forecasting and valuation guidelines.
• Undertake ESG analysis including detailed carbon analysis as per internal guidelines and models.
• Offer stock selection recommendations on US REIT investments after taking into consideration both internal and other relevant industry information as per the detailed investment process.
• Meet and engage with company management teams and visit relevant properties of companies in screened universe.
