North is seeking a high-impact finance and strategy professional to join our firm as an Associate or VP, FP&A – Insurance. This role will partner closely with Executive Leadership, the CFO, and senior leaders within the Insurance and Reinsurance businesses.
You will lead strategic finance efforts supporting the growth and profitability of 26
North’s Insurance Platform. Responsibilities include financial modeling, capital planning, and performance analysis to support investment and corporate decisions. This position offers a unique opportunity to have an outsized impact within one of the industry’s most dynamic alternative investment firms.
Strategic Finance Leadership
- Act as the strategic finance lead for 26
North’s Insurance and Reinsurance business units, serving as a thought partner to the platform leadership. - Drive the development of long-range financial plans, forecasts, and capital allocation frameworks.
- Evaluate strategic initiatives including M&A, reinsurance transactions, fund structures, and new product launches.
- Deliver executive-ready presentations and insights for Management Committee and Board discussions.
Performance Analytics & Decision Support
- Own financial modeling and scenario analysis for the Insurance Platform — analyzing revenue drivers, fee economics, expense allocations, and profitability.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs that track AUM growth, capital deployment, and returns.
- Partner with investment, operations, and capital markets teams to support pricing, funding, and strategic transactions.
- Synthesize complex financial data into clear narratives for senior stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with FP&A, Corporate Development, and Investment teams to support firm-wide planning initiatives.
- Contribute to firm-level strategic finance projects and enterprise forecasts.
- Drive continuous improvement in reporting and analytical processes through automation and system enhancement.
- 3–8 years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or corporate strategy within an alternative asset manager, insurance company, or financial institution.
- Strong understanding of insurance and reinsurance economics, capital structures, and performance metrics.
- Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and decision support for complex multi-entity structures.
- Proven ability to translate financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations for executives.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, paired with a strategic mindset and executive presence.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with enterprise planning tools (e.g., One Stream, TM1, Adaptive Insights) a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
