We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Capital Management Audit to join our Capital Management Auditing team. This role is located in New York, New York.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support audit engagements of CCAR and stress testing processes, from planning and scoping through reporting and follow‑up.
  • Evaluate governance, risk management, and control frameworks supporting capital planning and regulatory submissions (FR Y‑14A, SR 15‑18 Dodd‑Frank Act stress testing).
  • Assess design and operating effectiveness of key controls around data integrity, model governance, scenario development, capital policy, and capital stress methodologies.
  • Partner with Model Risk, Finance, and Treasury to test model validation processes, challenge assumptions, and verify regulatory compliance.
  • Identify control gaps and process efficiencies; develop actionable recommendations and discuss findings with senior management.
  • Track remediation efforts, monitor progress against audit issues, and report status to Audit leadership and the Audit Committee.
  • Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and guide internal stakeholders on anticipated impacts to capital stress testing.
  • Promote best practices in risk assessment and audit methodology.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of audit experience, including significant exposure to capital management, CCAR, or stress testing engagements.
  • Knowledge of Treasury and capital markets operations.
  • Deep understanding of CCAR submission requirements, FR Y‑14A/Q/S reporting, DFAST and Basel regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven track record participating in complex, multi‑disciplinary audit projects in a large financial institution.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with audit tools (Team Mate, Galvanize, ACL IDEA) and data analytics platforms; demonstrated expertise in Agile audit methodologies and continuous auditing is preferred.
  • Preferred:
    Knowledge of Treasury and capital markets operations and prior exposure to model risk management and validation processes.
  • Preferred:
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent professional certification.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $154,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long‑term incentive packages, and company‑sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at‑will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
