Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee all contractual and financial operations of our fast-growing IT consulting and systems integration company. This is a highly visible role that requires a proactive, "get-things-done" mindset. The ideal candidate will thrive in a mid-sized or entrepreneurial organization, be comfortable wearing multiple hats, and bring strong expertise in accounting, contract management, and operational support.
This is an exempt position. Salary commensurate with experience.
DutiesFinancial Management
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and send invoices, follow up on collections, and resolve payment disputes.
- Manage vendor payments and expense reimbursements.
- Track project budgets, financial forecasts, and actual performance in collaboration with leadership.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes in coordination with external accountants.
- Review, negotiate, and manage all client, subcontractor, and vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms and compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with legal advisors as needed to address contractual risks and obligations.
- Maintain organized records of all agreements and track key contractual deadlines and deliverables.
- Serve as primary point of contact for clients on contractual matters.
- Act as the financial and contractual liaison with clients, ensuring smooth resolution of any issues.
- Work closely with project managers, sales, and operations teams to align financial and contractual deliverables.
- Assist leadership in preparing reports, dashboards, and summaries for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline contract and finance workflows.
- Support internal audits and respond to client or partner audit requests.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA preferred but not required).
- 5–10 years of experience in finance and contract management roles, preferably in mid-sized companies or entrepreneurial organizations.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations.
- Proven ability to review and negotiate contracts.
- Proficiency with accounting and financial software (Quick Books, Net Suite, or similar).
- Strong Excel and reporting skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
