Overview
The Mac-Haydn Theatre (Chatham, NY) is seeking a drummer for the upcoming 2026 summer season. In hopes of engaging with musicians in the Hudson Valley and Albany area, local artists are encouraged to apply. MHT is a wonderful place for those looking to build their resume, play a lot of music, gain experience, and build relationships with other musicians. Musicians available for the full season are preferred but not required.
SkillsRequired
- Experience playing for musical theatre
- Experience reading notated and specific drum parts
- Able to follow and take tempos from a music director
- Knowledge of a wide range of styles including pop, rock, R&B, soul, etc.
- Candidates with experience in both orchestral percussion and drum set preferred, but all candidates will be considered.
- $525/wk
- $100 Travel Stipend

- The Addams Family (June 8–21)
- 9 to 5 (June 22–July
5) - The Secret Garden [orchestral percussion book] (July 6–19)
- Newsies (July 20–Aug
9) - Beautiful (August 10–23)
- Hairspray (August 24–September
6) - Showstoppers (September 2 &
4)
