** Job Responsibilities
**** Job Description
** The
** Director of Licensing
** is responsible for overseeing all regulatory licensing activities for the company across New York and other applicable jurisdictions. This role ensures that the company, its executives, key employees, and vendors maintain compliance with all licensing requirements mandated by state authorities. The Director will serve as the company’s subject‑matter expert on gaming licensing and lead the development, submission, and maintenance of all licensing documentation while driving strong relationships with regulatory agencies.
** License Level:
** This is a key level position and requires a key license. This position has the ability to make discretionary decisions or long-range policy determinations that may impact gaming facility operations.
** Essential Duties/Core Competencies
*** Manage the end‑to‑end licensing lifecycle for the company, including corporate, employee, and vendor applications, renewals, and disclosures.
* Oversee all interactions with regulatory bodies, including the New York State Gaming Commission and other state or tribal authorities.
* Maintain complete and accurate records of all licensing submissions, approvals, expirations, and compliance obligations.
* Develop internal policies and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with gaming licensing requirements.
* Conduct internal audits to verify accuracy and completeness of licensing files and documentation.
* Partner with HR, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to ensure timely and accurate preparation of licensing submissions.
* Review and assess the licensing impact of new business initiatives, vendor relationships, and executive hires.
* Stay current on evolving gaming regulations and proactively communicate changes and risks to senior leadership.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for licensing‑related investigations, background checks, or regulatory inquiries.
* Manage and mentor a licensing team (if applicable), ensuring high performance and operational excellence.
** Work/Educational Experience
*** Must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations.
* 3-7 years of experience in gaming licensing, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
* Deep knowledge of gaming regulatory frameworks in New York; multi‑jurisdictional experience a plus.
* Proven ability to collaborate with regulators and internal stakeholders at all levels.
* Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
