About the RoleDLE Event Group is hiring a Director of Events and Operations to own event planning, execution, and operational delivery across the business. This is a senior, hands‑on role responsible for ensuring client confidence, internal alignment, and consistent execution, while reducing founder involvement in day‑to‑day operations.
The role balances client‑facing leadership, operational rigor, and revenue support. It requires strong judgment, follow‑through, and comfort operating across planning, logistics, and sales conversations.
Experience and Skill Set- 5+ years of experience in weddings, private events, live events, or event operations
- Strong comfort with music-driven wedding environments
- Clear understanding of ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception flow
- Ability to pace energy across DJs and live musicians
- Highly organized, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Clear communicator with strong client-facing judgment
- Lead client planning calls, guiding music direction, event flow, and overall experience design
- Translate client vision into clear timelines, run‑of‑show documents, and execution plans
- Coordinate with DJs, musicians, venues, and vendors to ensure alignment and readiness
- Oversee execution across multiple concurrent events, maintaining quality and consistency
- Act as the primary driver of client confidence through clarity, preparation, and leadership
- Own planning projects end-to-end, driving timelines, milestones, and execution
- Translate event goals into clear plans, priorities, and task ownership
- Build, refine, and enforce repeatable systems, templates, and workflows
- Keep projects moving forward by removing blockers and ensuring on‑time delivery
- Proactively identify risks and resolve issues before they impact outcomes
- Support and contribute to sales conversations, helping guide prospects toward confident buying decisions
- Participate in select sales calls and follow‑ups to help prospects clearly envision the experience
- Increase conversion by providing clear guidance on event flow, logistics, and execution
- Align operational planning with revenue goals and client expectations
- Partner closely with a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who supports scheduling, follow‑up, and qualification
- This role offers a base salary range of $65,000–$75,000, depending on experience and scope, plus performance‑based commission.
- Commission is earned in addition to base salary and is tied to revenue contribution and deal conversion.
Consistent performers typically earn an additional $40K–$60K annually, with top performers earning $85K–$120K+ as deal volume scales. - This is a senior, hands‑on role with meaningful ownership across planning, operations, and revenue support. Total compensation is designed to scale with impact and contribution.
- Additional benefits include a $500 monthly health and wellness stipend, along with paid time off and sick leave provided in accordance with applicable state and local requirements.
- Primarily remote for planning, sales, and project management
- Preference for candidates in or near the New York metro area
- Occasional in‑person commitments a few times per year
