DESCRIPTION

New York Classical Theatre is immediately seeking a Wardrobe Supervisor for our 27th Summer Season production of Julius Cæsar. Reporting to the Production Stage Manager, Supervising Producer, and Artistic Director, the Wardrobe Supervisor will work closely with the Production Designer, Assistant Designer, and a team of production assistants and run crew. For specific information about the job please visit nyclassical.org/work-with-us.

The Wardrobe Supervisor must be able to sew, manage a crew, maintain the costumes (bi‑weekly laundry & weekly dry cleaning), and have proper training (or receive training prior to their employment) in styling Black hair and character wigs, as necessary. All rehearsals and performances take place in one of four public parks.

It is in service of our mission that we assemble a company whose majority is comprised of historically underrepresented crew members and whose backgrounds reflect the global majority audience communities we serve in New York City.

We are specifically looking for crew members who self‑identify as:
Black, Indigenous, Latinx/Latino, Asian, South Asian, Pacific Islander, Indian, MENA/SWANA, and multiracial‑American. Those who self‑identify as Trans or Non‑binary are also encouraged to apply.
