Technical Production Stage Manager League Productions , NY

Big League Productions (BLP) is seeking submissions for an upcoming replacement (NON-UNION) PRODUCTION STAGE MANAGER position with the 2026 National Tour of Meredith Willson’s The Music Man.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This full-time, touring position will collaborate with the General Manager, Company Manager, Producer, and the Creative Team to support the day-to-day business, logistics, and operations of the tour.

Stage Management is responsible for:

• Facilitating communication across all creative and technical departments
• Distributing all show-related daily reports and schedules
• Assisting the Head Carpenter with advancing calls to upcoming venues
• Calling all technical cues during performances and overseeing all backstage activity when in performance
• Facilitating brush-up and understudy rehearsals during the tour’s run (making sure that put-in’s are happening)
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

BLP seeks strong team players, with the ability to work well under pressure. Attention to detail is also of utmost importance.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous touring experience, while not mandatory, is preferred.

A valid US driver's license is required.
The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull 100lbs, stand for extended periods of time (3+ hours), navigate multiple levels of stairs.

TIMELINE:

The tour plays a mixture of split-weeks, and one-night performances.

Currently in performances through June 28, 2026

Layoff Period May 18 – 24, 2026

COMPENSATION:
Manager positions start at $1,000/wk (increasing with experience)

Hotel, per diem, and weekly health stipend provided on the road.
