Compensation: $22/hr (+1.5x for Overtime over 40 hrs)

Location:
On-site in NYC, Sag Harbor, and Riverhead, NY. Housing is available.
Schedule:
The work schedule is determined by the Props Supervisor + Director of Production. This position requires regular evening and weekend work in conjunction with BSTs performance calendar. This is a seasonal position.

The Assistant Props Supervisor will support all properties and set dressing for the mainstage season of 4 shows and special events, including the Literature Live production.
The Assistant Props Supervisor has access to the Bay Street Theater prop storage for the purpose of utilizing props for Bay Street Theater productions, as well as necessary tool usage and shop space for building to be coordinated with the Technical Director. This position requires regular evening and weekend work in conjunction with BSTs performance calendar.
The Props Supervisor's general responsibilities will include:
Pre-Production- Meet with director, set designer, and stage management to determine props, furniture, and set dressing requirements.
- Assist with a budgeted props list including all purchases, rentals, and expendables.
- Assist with coordinating purchasing with Director of Production, including Petty Cash.
- Provide rehearsal package of props/furniture.
- Assist with movement of rehearsal props to and from rehearsal room with Director of Production.
- Be on-site to present and organize props items to stage management.
- Assist with maintaining communication with rehearsal team to ensure adds/cuts/changes are completed within a reasonable amount of time.
- Attend invited run-through(s) of the production in rehearsal room.
- Assist with leading the load-out crew to organize and pack all props items to travel to Sag Harbor.
- Assist with pulling any usable props items from Bay Street's stock for rehearsal or show.
- Assist with coordinating work time on-site in Riverhead with Technical Director.
- Discuss any carpentry build or material needs with Technical Director.
- Discuss any paint treatment needs with Scenic Charge Artist.
- Assist with supervising unloading and organizing props as they arrive to the theater.
- Assist with coordinating preset placement with stage management.
- Assist with coordinating set dressing schedule with Director of Production.
- Attend all technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and previews.
- Assist with executing any adds/cuts/changes to the props/furniture/set dressing.
- Assist with executing any repairs or modifications to the props/furniture/set dressing.
- Assist with submitting all receipts for reimbursement to Director of Production.
- Assist with coordinating staff to ensure all stock and purchased items are returned to storage and that rented/borrowed items are returned on-time.
