APM Crew Chief

Overview

Set a course for adventure with Princess Cruises. The Stage Staff department seeks an Automation Technician / Crew Chief to lead and operate state-of-the-art stage automation systems, ensuring safe and engaging theatre experiences for guests and crew alike.

• Lead and motivate a production team with a safety-driven mindset, building trust and maintaining organization.
• Control, maintain, and operate automated stage systems for moving components, ensuring reliable performance.
• Ensure the safety of cast, crew, entertainers, and guests on theatre stages; anticipate and resolve issues while guiding the Stage Crew to deliver high-quality entertainment.
• Maintain automated stage systems, scenic elements, props, and inventory with attention to detail; coordinate crew scheduling, development, and training with the Senior Production Manager to achieve goals.

• Minimum of 3 years’ industry experience in theatre or touring industries.
• Strong understanding of safety and risk assessment procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with theatre automation consoles is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
• Foundational guest service mindset with the ability to deliver outstanding service.
• Motivation to excel in all aspects of duties and responsibilities.
• Outgoing, personable communicator with a warm, friendly personality.
• Ability to continually delight guests throughout their cruise experience.
