Barry’s is the Best Workout in the World. Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, it provides an immersive, high-intensity one-hour workout. Our classes alternate between weights and treadmill work, focusing on different muscle groups to maximize results while helping prevent injuries.

AboutThe Role
Client Specialists are the first line of contact at Barry’s studios. They are knowledgeable about all aspects of our business, implement company policies, and help develop lasting client relationships through hospitality, class selections, bookings, and inquiries. They maintain the studio, process Fuel Bar and merchandise sales, and represent the Barry’s brand in every interaction. We seek individuals who are passionate, hardworking, reliable, team-oriented, and capable of solving problems with strong interpersonal skills, a love for health, and enthusiasm for the Barry’s brand.
This role encompasses Front Desk, Facilities & Fuel Bar responsibilities.
What You’ll DoFront Desk Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding client experiences through hospitality and studio amenities, supporting sales and service goals
- Act as a brand ambassador by warmly welcoming clients and ensuring they have a memorable experience
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with clients and staff
- Provide timely and clear communication to supervisors and peers via phone, written, email, text, or in person
- Maintain a clean and welcoming studio environment
- Inform clients about current promotions, membership discounts, and events
- Maintain product knowledge for all studio retail operations
- Participate in training and development programs as directed
- Have flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and varying shifts
- Fuel Bar Responsibilities
- Deliver quality protein smoothies and customer service at the Fuel Bar
- Handle pre-orders and on-site orders, customizing for clients
- Assist clients with questions and product selection
- Process orders in a timely manner using POS
- Keep Fuel Bar areas clean and sanitized
- Follow safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures per health regulations
- Rotate merchandise in coolers and displays, monitor for spoilage
- Prepare Fuel Bar items following company recipes
- Facility Maintenance
- Prepare studios before, after, and between classes (clean equipment, sweep/mop floors, wipe mirrors)
- Clean and maintain locker rooms to brand standards
- Deep cleaning, organization, and service of common areas
- Conduct minor studio repairs when appropriate
- Laundry services (towels, etc.)
- Adhere to cleaning and maintenance checklists
- Customer Service
- Provide the highest level of hospitality to all clients
- Maintain client database and use information to increase client engagement
- Engage with the community through events and clienteling tools
- Strong hospitality skills and alignment with Barry’s Mission, Vision and Values
- Ability to work full-time or part-time
- Full-time: minimum 30 hours/week, mornings/afternoons/evenings, including at least one weekend day
- Part-time: minimum 24 hours/week, with shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and at least one weekend day
- Friendly, outgoing personality with enjoyment of social interaction
- Enthusiasm for the studio and the role
- Patient, courteous listener with empathy
- Can-do attitude to respond to client requests
- Cooperative team member with strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

- Must be at least 18 years old
The pay range for this role is 16.50 USD per hour (New York).
