Drafter

We are seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Drafter to support the design and development of mechanical systems for commercial and residential projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate HVAC drawings using AutoCAD, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and ensuring designs meet project specifications, building codes, and industry standards.

The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD experience, a solid understanding of HVAC systems, and the ability to translate engineering concepts into clear and precise technical drawings.

• Prepare detailed HVAC layout drawings using AutoCAD, including ductwork, piping, equipment placement, and mechanical system components.
• Convert engineering sketches, markups, and specifications into accurate construction drawings.
• Coordinate HVAC drawings with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing plans.
• Update and revise drawings based on engineer or project manager feedback.
• Assist with the development of shop drawings, as-builts, and installation details.
• Maintain drawing standards, templates, and file organization within company systems.
• Review project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with codes and project requirements.
• Support project teams during design development and construction phases.
• Communicate with engineers, estimators, and field teams to resolve design conflicts or technical issues.

• 2+ years of HVAC drafting experience in commercial or residential mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (required).
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, including ductwork layouts, mechanical equipment, and piping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
