Project Development Associate

Location: USA hybrid/remote (ideally East Coast)

One of the leading distributed generation developers in the U.S. backed by a major institutional investor
. The platform develops and acquires commercial solar and battery storage projects across multiple U.S. markets.

They are looking to hire a Junior Project Developer to support the development of 1-5MW+ solar and BESS projects and help advance projects through the mid-to-late stages of the development cycle toward Notice to Proceed (NTP).

• Support permitting and entitlement processes across local and state jurisdictions
• Assist in advancing 1-5MW+ solar and BESS projects through development milestones
• Conduct site due diligence including zoning, setbacks, environmental constraints and GIS review
• Track project milestones, budgets and timelines across the development pipeline
• Coordinate with engineering, finance, development and external consultants
• Help manage interconnection agreements, site control documentation and incentive filings

• 1-3 years experience in renewable energy OR project development
• Exposure to solar, battery storage or distributed generation projects (must-have)
• Experience with GIS tools, Salesforce, Google Earth or project tracking systems
• Strong organizational skills managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, real estate or similar
