About the RoleOur healthcare client in the Bronx, NY is looking for a hands‑on Lead/Manager for their Unified Communications (UC) Telecommunications Group. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Telecommunications for the entire hospital system and support a large end‑user environment of approximately 10,000 mobile devices and UC enterprise network.
Core Responsibilities- Manage a team of 15+ technical staff and support all UC service requests via Service Now ticketing system.
- Participate in product evaluation and use of communications equipment (UC, MDM, cabling).
- Handle procurement, coordinate telecom and network repairs, and resolve issues with vendors and processes.
- Execute project and non‑project related tasks to support team goals, including mobile phone recycle and inventory program.
- Maintain inventory of telecommunications devices and prepare supplies orders.
- Maintain emergency telecommunication documentation and perform monthly invoice analysis, validation and payment approval on wireless invoices to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
- Manage Service Now ticket queue for PBX, mobile and UC devices, perform monthly audits to evaluate cost‑effective plans and update mobile catalog, communicate concerns to managers.
- 5–8 years experience in the telecommunications/UC world supporting Telecom or IT, with broad knowledge of telecom/IT products, services, and technology, and hands‑on skill in carrier/MDM/UC operations.
- Experience managing a team and maintaining communication with support systems (Service Now), telcos, wireless companies and cabling.
- Proven experience in Telecom Management within an enterprise environment, including Telecommunication Expense Management (TEM), Wireless Expense Management (WEM), carrier billing systems, invoicing, circuit provisioning, configuration pricing methods, contracts, and PBX/UC systems such as NEC and Cisco VOIP.
- Strong customer service orientation and proven vendor management skills.
Pay Range: $55.00 – $60.00 per hour (Contract to Hire)
