ANE Consulting is a successful construction management services firm known for delivering complex, high-visibility public infrastructure projects. As part of a major multi-year initiative supporting AECOM–Hill JV and the NYC Department of Design and Constructions Rikers Program, ANE is contributing to a large multi-site, six-year build that will deliver four new borough-based facilities across New York City.
About the RoleAs Deputy Design Manager / Design Support, you will support the Design Lead/Manager in ensuring building designs are delivered in compliance with defined project requirements, scope, schedule, quality, and budget. This role plays a key part in maintaining technical alignment and coordination across stakeholders on a highly visible public-sector program.
You will collaborate with the selected Design-Build team, consultants, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and NYC agency stakeholders while reporting progress and supporting coordination efforts with the NYC Department of Design and Construction (DDC).
Key Responsibilities- Support the Design Lead/Manager in ensuring all designs and systems comply with project requirements and goals
- Assist in delivery of work packages in alignment with defined scope, quality, schedule, and cost
- Coordinate design submittals, presentations, and design charrettes with internal stakeholders
- Assist in managing design review processes with authorities having jurisdiction
- Evaluate Design-Builder progress and help implement corrective actions as necessary
- Support multidisciplinary design coordination and track technical performance
- Coordinate Subject Matter Expert (SME) input and technical responses
- Provide technical guidance and review integration across design packages
- Ensure documentation meets established standards, schedule requirements, and budget parameters
- Support technical planning, issue identification, and implementation of proper documentation and quality controls
- Bachelors degree required
- Approximately 5+ years of relevant design and/or construction experience
- Experience supporting large, complex public-sector or NYC agency projects preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in a client-facing environment
- High level of political acumen and professionalism
- Commitment to continuous learning and development, including emerging tools and technologies
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Salary up to $118,000 or more based on experience
