A leading power infrastructure contractor delivering complex energy and utility projects across the Northeast. Our work spans high-voltage substations, transmission and distribution systems, renewable energy integration, and mission-critical power infrastructure. We partner with utilities, public agencies, and private developers to execute technically complex, safety-critical projects in dense urban and regulated environments.
This role supports the delivery of geothermal energy projects as part of a growing clean energy and electrification portfolio.
Role OverviewThe Geothermal Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of geothermal energy projects, from preconstruction through closeout. This role leads planning, execution, cost control, schedule management, and client coordination for complex mechanical, electrical, and civil scopes in live utility and infrastructure environments. The Project Manager will coordinate multidisciplinary field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and owners to deliver safe, compliant, and profitable projects.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end delivery of geothermal construction projects, including preconstruction planning, execution, commissioning, and closeout
- Manage project budgets, cost forecasting, change orders, and financial performance
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and recovery plans
- Coordinate with utilities, engineers, inspectors, owners, and regulatory stakeholders
- Oversee subcontractor performance, procurement, and contract compliance
- Enforce safety, quality, and environmental compliance on all project sites
- Manage risk, constructability planning, and technical problem-solving in constrained environments
- Lead field supervision and project controls teams
- Support business development, estimating, and pursuit efforts for geothermal and clean energy work
- 7+ years of project management experience in power, utility, infrastructure, or complex energy construction
- Strong background in safety-driven construction environments
- Experience managing projects in regulated or utility-interfacing environments
- Strong financial management, scheduling, and contract administration skills
- Ability to lead teams in active construction environments across multiple sites
- Proficiency with project management systems, cost controls, and scheduling tools
- Willingness to travel within New York State
- Experience delivering geothermal, renewable energy, district energy, or underground utility projects
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or utility projects in dense urban environments
- Familiarity with commissioning, testing, and turnover of energy infrastructure assets
