The salary for this role is $200,000-$300,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York. This salary range may also be modified in the future.

We are seeking a Vice President Natural Gas Originator & Structurer to support LS Power’s infrastructure investment portfolio. This individual will focus on physical natural gas origination, structuring, transportation & storage strategy, while setting commercial strategy for existing assets, new developments, and portfolio optimization activities across the U.S.

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial instincts, deep familiarity with U.S. pipeline systems, and hands‑on experience negotiating and executing physical gas, transportation, and storage agreements.

• Develop, negotiate, and execute physical natural gas supply agreements, transport deals, storage arrangements, seasonal hedges, and structured products supporting LS Power’s asset fleet and project development pipelines.
• Oversee pipeline transportation portfolios, storage assets, and related contract positions; analyze basis dynamics, constraints, tariff structures, and optimization opportunities across major U.S. pipelines.
• Partner with asset management, development, and operations teams to ensure reliable, cost‑efficient fuel supply for operating plants and new builds, including firming strategies, balancing risks, and identifying market exposures.
• Conduct ongoing analysis of regional gas market fundamentals, including production trends, pipeline expansions, LNG dynamics, basis risk, storage economics, and regulatory developments.
• Coordinate or oversee physical scheduling, nominations, imbalance management, and daily operational support—leveraging experience from utility, merchant generator, or trading environments.
• Identify and execute commercial optimization strategies related to transportation, storage, asset‑backed trading, swing gas management, options around asset flexibility, and optimization of physical market positions.
