Location: New York
Haugland Group, a privately owned Long Island, New York-based civil infrastructure and energy construction company, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Surveyor to join our team.
This role will require the individual to handle survey operations mainly in our U.S. Virgin Island territories with visits to Florida as needed.

Key Functions:
- Perform construction layout and site staking for civil infrastructure projects
- Prepare accurate as built documentation and maintain updated project records
- Utilize Civil 3D or comparable CAD software to support design computations and layout development
- Review construction plans, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with project supervision to determine effective resolutions
- Operate drones for surveying, mapping, and project documentation
- Interpret design plans and compute layout data for field implementation
- Review proposed construction documents and develop clear, detailed RFI submissions
- Translate paper plan features into precise field layout points for construction crews
Desired
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in survey operations
- Proficiency with Topcon GPS data collection, Trimble GPS and robotic systems, LiDAR scanners, and Topcon grade control systems (milling and dozing)
- Experience with drone operations, including flight execution and data upload to project platforms
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Surveying Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
